Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) have decided to patrol jointly in the River Padma aims to prevent different kinds of crimes, including smuggling illegal arms and drug, in Rajshahi border.
The border forces of Bangladesh and India took the decision at a flag meeting held at Sahebnagar Border Outpost (BOP) in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Thursday.
Speakers at the meeting discussed murder, drug, smuggling and human trafficking and so on in the border between Bangladesh and India.
At the meeting, BGB and BSF officials agreed to stop aforesaid crimes in the border.
BGB's Rajshahi Sector Commander Colonel Mushfiqur Rahman Masum led the Bangladesh delegation while Bahrampur Sector DIG Kunal Majumder led the India side.
