Polls to Dhaka's 2 city corporations Jan 30

Elections to Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation will be held on January 30 next year.

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda announced the schedule at the media centre of the Nirbachan Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon on Sunday.

Voters will cast votes through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from 8am to 4pm

The deadline for the submission of nomination paper is December 31 while the date for scrutinising the nomination papers is January 2 and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is January 9, said the CEC.
