RCC launches drive to free footpath
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) on Monday launched a drive to remove illegal structures and shops from city footpaths in a bid to ensure free movement of pedestrians.
The drive, led by RCC Executive Magistrate Samar Kumar Pal, began from in front of Masterpara Kalimandir area in the city this morning.
The Executive Magistrate said that the RCC Mayor is determined to build a clean and beautiful city.
Since the Mayor took his office, he has been asking the occupiers to clear footpaths, he added.
The eviction drive will continue till April 25.
