Eight Street Children from Bangladesh set to play at Lord's

An eight-member street children cricket team made up of four boys and coequal girls of age between 14 and 17 will signify Bangladesh in the Street Child Cricket World Cup 2019 (SCCWC 2019) in England ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.
Street Child United, a London based organisation working for the interests of street children on the globe, organised the tournament. Local Education and Economic Development Organisation (LEEDO), a non-profit development organisation in Bangladesh, shake hands with Street Child United to send the squad in red and green to play the event.
To raise the voice by rootless kids around the world, Street Child United started their joint venture with FIFA and organised Street Children Football World Cup before FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, which continued in Brazil World Cup 2014 and in the latest one in 2018 that had held in Russia.   
Jesmin Akter, Sopna Akter, Sania Mirza, Arzu Rahman, Rashel Islam Rumel, Md. Nizam Hossen, Abul Kashem and Md. Rubel are the eight pickings for Bangladesh squad, among whom playing line-up will be selected for the six-a-side tourney.  They will leave Dhaka on April 28. Forhad Hossain, Executive Director of LEEDO will fly with the team as local guardian.
Beside Bangladesh, nine more teams from countries including India North and India South, Nepal, Mauritius, Congo, Tanzania and England will partake in the event. The format called 'Street-20' has been adopted for the tournament.
The group stage round games will be held on May 5 and 6 in Cambridge while both the semis and the final of the tournament will be hosted by the historical Lord's on May 7. At the side of cricket matches, the young athletes will play warm-up match with the member of British House of Commons.
They also will contend in cultural competitions, attend four congresses, various dialogues and make their visit to places like Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and West Minister Abbey during their ten days visit.
Sourav Ganguly has been actively working with Indian sides as goodwill ambassador. It is expected that former national captain of Bangladesh cricket team and existing selector Habibul Bashar will join the tournament as concern ambassador from Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) however, extended their hand of cooperation and provided 10-day long professional coaching facilities for children. Assistant divisional coach Raihan Gaffar Saimon coached them and is expected to get him available again before boys and girls departing home.
The cheered up children with dreamy eyes to conquer the World, are optimistic to return with the title. They prepared themselves for the best but didn't warm-up against any professional team at home, which they think is the lone deficit here.
