Elderly woman crushed under train

An elderly woman was crushed under the wheels of a train at Kadamtola railway crossing in Darikhorbona area of Rajshahi early Saturday.

Identity of the woman is yet to be known.

A Chapainawabganj-bound train hit the woman at the crossing around 5.30 am, leaving her dead on the spot, said Sayeed Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police Station, Rajshahi.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the area and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
