3 killed in Bagha road crash

Three people were killed and 20 others injured as bus fell into a ditch in Vanukar area under Bagha upazila in Rajshahi on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abu Hanif, 23, son of Samser Ali; Manwara Begum, 45, wife of MunsarAli; and Badla Begum, 42, wife of Niat Ali. All were the resident of the same upazila.

A Rajshahi-bound bus fell into the road side ditch in the area around 6.30am as its driver lost the control over the steer leaving three dead on the spot, said Rahadul Islam, one passenger of the bus.

Police visited the spot after the accident and handed over the bodies to family members, said Mohsin Ali, officer-in-charge of Bagha Police Station.
