Hizb ut-Tahrir man held in Rajshahi

A member of the banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir was arrested from Kadirganj area in Rajshahi city on Wednesday night.

Arrested Tanvir Hossain, 24, is a student of Computer Science Department at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET).

Members of Boalia Police Station have arrested Tanvir around 10.30pm, said Aman Ullah, officer-in-charge of the police station. He is involved with the organization and a campaigner, said the official.

Posters and leaflets were also seized from Tanvir's possession, he added.
