Mission Extreme, claimed to be the sequel to the box-office hit Dhaka Attack is looking to hit theatres towards the end of this year. Ninety percent of the shooting has already completed and the production works moved into post-production phase on May 22. Though the makers are denying that Mission Extreme is a sequel it has two key figures from the Dhaka Attack team- screenwriter Sunny Sanwar and Dhaka Attack assistant director Faisal Ahmed. Police Officer Sunny Sanwar is jointly directing the film with Faisal Ahmed. Eighty-percent of the shooting was done in Bangladesh by April this year. Another ten percent was shot in Dubai, UAE very recently.
The Dubai shoot wrapped up very recently on May 18. Arefin Shuvo, Sadiya Nabila, Fazlur Rahman Babu and two more noted actors took part in the shoots there. A song and some action scenes have been shot in sixteen locations of Dubai for five days. A number of stuntmen based in Dubai alongside some Arab actors and Bangladeshi expatriates in Dubai have acted in the scenes. The huge expenses of the shoots have been provided by Dubai's Bangladeshi expatriate Kazi Gulshan Ara and a business firm there. Sunny Sanwar thinks that the daring attempt to spend high for the small Dhallywood market can pay off if the film can win over viewers.
Actors of Mission Extreme are- Iresh Zaker, Maznun Mizan, Shatabdi Wadud, Tarik Anam Khan, Sushma Sarkar, Nazmus Saquib, Dipu Imam and more alongside Arefin Shuvo, Oishee, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Sadiya Nabila.
Sunny reflects that he shot action scenes for two consecutive days in the scorching heat of Dubai. The heated sand along with sand storms made the shooting difficult task and thus help from local experts were used. Sunny Sanwar is the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and in-charge of Bomb Disposal Unit of Police.
