The association leaders urged  the government to provide loan at a minimum interest rate, incentives for traders and set up a silk premise (Resham Chattar) to bring back the lost glory of silk.

BSIOA newly-elected leaders sought the govt help during a meeting with Rajshahi Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the mini conference room of the Nagar Bhaban on Sunday.

During the meeting, the mayor ensured all-out cooperation to save the silk industry.

Among others association president Liakat Ali, vice presidents Arif Ahsan Tito, Sajjad Ali and Nilufa Yasmin were present.
