Farmer killed in lightning strike

A farmer was killed in lightning strike in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi district on Wednesday noon.

Deceased Abdul Mannan, 28, was the son of Aser Ali, a resident of Tebaria village under Shilmaria union in the upazila.

Locals said thunderbolt struck Mannan while working in a paddy field near his house, leaving him dead on the spot.
