62 cases of dengue reported in Rajshahi

Some 62 dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi district in last 16 days till Tuesday.

Of them, nine were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in last 24 hours, 12 patients on Monday, while 20 patients have recovered from the mosquito-borne fever, RMCH Deputy Director Saiful Ferdous said.

The deputy director said though all the patients are residents of Rajshahi, they have infected with dengue in Dhaka. Now they are undegoing treatment in Rajshahi hospitals.

A dengue corner was opened at the RMCH on July 15 follwing the government instruction. Besides, several medical boards were formed to provide proper treatment to dengue patients, the deputy director added.
