Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury will inaugurate the conference where Indian think tanks, academics and lawmakers will be present, a Foreign Ministry's official said.
The dialogue will ensure sustainable political goodwill and trust, economic growth and shared prosperity of the peoples of India and Bangladesh, he said.
Foreign Minister Dr Abdul Momen will conclude the session on November 2.
The Foreign Ministry will jointly organize by the India Foundation, Bangladesh Foundation for Regional Studies and Indian High Commission in Bangladesh.
"Bangladesh and India share a special bond, which is generic, granular and unbroken by sovereign boundaries of Post-Westphalian Republics. The bond is civilizational and is sanctified by the blood of those martyrs who fought together for the glorious independence of Bangladesh in 1971," the Eighth Session of the Bangladesh-India Friendship Dialogue declaration at Gwahati in July, 2017 said.
This time trade and investment to generate employment, connectivity, technology, power and energy, ecological sustainable development, containing extreme ideology for regional security will be discussed in the two-day sessions where the lawmakers, investor and think tanks will give their inputs,     he added. "It will also focus on matters related to security, border management, combating trans-boundary crimes, infrastructure development, physical connectivity, people-to-people relations, and basin-wise management of trans-boundary waters and securing uninterrupted supply of energy to an optimal level at the shortest possible time," the official added.
"Bangladesh and India are now enjoying the highest level of 'good relationship' and visionary progress in trade and commerce...

we are trying to cementing it more, so it is our collective attempt of the diplomats-people-think tanks and the law makers of both the countries to chalk out a time-bound guide map for enhancing connectivity and integrated multimodal communication (with special emphasis on sub-regionally utilizing inland waterways, rail networks, sea ports and coastal shipping); upgrading generation, grid and trading in power and energy and designing innovative market solutions for securitizing the power and energy sector; designing sustainable and forward looking mechanisms in joint finance and marketing of both innovative and high-end value-added products and services between the two countries," the official said.

He said the Eighth Session of the Friendship Dialogue carefully assessed the impact of the changing world order on peace, stability and prosperity of South Asia, in particular, of India and Bangladesh.
