India keen to address land boundary issue peacefully: Ram Madhav

Ram Madhav Varanasi, National General Secretary of BJP, said on Friday it is a good luck for Bangladesh to have a neighbour like India.
Though Bangladesh is encircled by India, it is ready to address the land boundary issue in a peaceful manner, he said.
India has already set an example of addressing land boundary disputes between the two countries.
Ram Madhav was addressing the inaugural session of Bangladesh -India Friendship Dialogue held at the Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort in Cox's Bazar on Friday.
The Foreign Ministry organized the two-day-long dialogue in collaboration with Bangladesh Foundation for Regional Studies where politicians, academics, diplomats and persons from the civil society are taking part.
"We have some challenges in our relationship but it will not able to divide our long-lasting friendship  that we earned in 1971," Ram Madhav said.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Shahriar Alam, Himanta Biswas Sarma, Finance, Transformation and Development and Health and Family Welfare, PWD, the government of Assam, India, MJ AKbar, Member of Parliament, Rajya Shabha, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Rive Ganguly Das, M. Shahidul Islam, Secretary General, BIMSTEC and Dr Radha Tomal Goswami, Director Techno International College of Technology took part in the discussion at the inaugural session.
On the Teesta water sharing issue he said they would talk about it with other stakeholders.
BJP leader Ram Madhav said Bangladesh could take an opportunity to become the gateway to seven sister states by opening its land and water boundary for mutual benefits.
Assam Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma gave his thanks to Bangladesh for contributing to curb the terrorism from Assam.
"Nowadays, Assam's people could sleep. It is the contribution of Bangladesh government," he said.
The 9th round dialogue was aimed at ensuring sustainable political goodwill and trust, economic growth and shared prosperity of the peoples of India and Bangladesh.
Experts from the both sides will take part in technical sessions today (Saturday) including trade and investment to generate employment, connectivity, technology, power and energy, ecological sustainable development, containing extreme ideology for regional security.
However, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will conclude the session.
Prior to the inaugural session State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Shahriar Alam said, "Bangladesh and India share a special bond, which is generic, granular and unbroken by sovereign boundaries of Post-Westphalian Republics."
The bond is civilizational and is sanctified by the blood of those martyrs who fought together for the glorious independence of Bangladesh in 1971, he said.
Mentioning that all ongoing projects with Indian credit of Line Indian High commissioner Riva Ganguly said the relationship between India and Bangladesh is growing on the basis of Prime Minister Norendra Modi's 'Sabka Sath Sabka Bikash' principal.
At the programme, the Friends of Bangladesh, Assam chapter, presented a copy of the book 'Unfinished Memoirs' written by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and translated in Assamese language to State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Shahriar Alam.
