The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has sought five days to remove the border post (chouki) which was set up in the no-man's land in bordering Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Friday midnight.
The BSF came up with the request in a flag meeting with the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Tuesday morning.
BGB-1 Battalion commanding officer Lt Col Ferdous Ziauddin Mahmud said, "The zero line is on the middle point of the Kata River along the Sahebnagar border. A char was emerged in the river and the BSF posited the check post there 70 meter inside the zero line"
"As per the international law, a country should erect any post 150 meters inside its land from the no-man's land," the BGB official said.
"The BGB protested the matter and expressed its concerns and the BSF sought five days to withdraw the check post", he added
