BD engineering troops in Congo graded excellent by UN Peacekeeping Forces HQs

Bangladeshi troops of the engineering corps were graded "excellent" by the forces Head Quarters (FHQ) of United Nations peacekeeping force at Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for their exemplary operational readiness.
Bangladeshi engineers Contingent (BANENGR-10) of MONUSCO in UN mission in Goma are the  leading efforts to improve MONUSCO in activities in Goma.  BANENGR is an important and specialized entity of MONUSCO. BANENGR-10 had replaced its previous contingent on April 22 in 2019. It is performing its duty as a part of the Forces integral assets and deployed in Central Sector.
BANENGR contingent has carried out a number of major construction projects over the years MONUSCO establishments at Goma.
As a part of MONUSCO military engineering component, this unit along with its HQs is operating at Central Sector with a view to facilitating engineering support as per MOU.
According to BANENGR this contingent has left its footprint while working in various MONUSCO establishments situated at Goma, Sake, Nymalima, Kiwanja, Kitchanga Minova and Tongo.
 Some of the noteworthy tasks carried out by BEC 10 includes construct on of accommodation for TCC, development work of camp, rehabilitation of various MSR existing camp dismantling, improvement of drainage system, environmental development work, waste water management, perimeter fencing, shifting, transporting, loading, unloading of vehicle, container, heavy material or equipment etc.
BANENGR 10 has also been honoured with "Unit Citation" from the respected Force Commander on 30 September 2019 as recognition of sustained effort to support MONUSCO.
BANENGR 10 has completed 11 major and 30 minor engineering projects in the last eight months. The contingent has shown sheer excellence in construction of Ukrainian Ammunition Dump.
Drainage system at RSA Aviation and Hazardous material shed at PDU. This contingent is currently undertaking one key, five major and 10 minor tasks simultaneously and thereby stretching their workload far beyond the capacity described in SOP, which is a clear indication of effective planning and time management, optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
 For the exemplary operational readiness this unit has been graded "Excellent" by FHQ, 0E1 team. The level 1 hospital is also playing an outstanding role in rendering medical support to the locals.
Bimenjimana Pascal chief of Mboga School at Goma told this correspondent that BANENGR contingent is providing support to local school children whenever possible. BANENGR provide books, pencil pen, football, and volleyball, Pascal added.

MONUSCO for its speedy and high quality of engineering works.
Maj Munzhelele wing coordinator of South Africa aviation contingent at Goma in UN mission told this correspondent that BENENGR in Goma constructed drainage system at RSA Aviation and road surrounding South Africa aviation contingent promptly.  
Col Arun Awasthy deputy commander and Chief of Staff of central sector of UN mission of MONUSCO Goma DR Congo told this correspondent that the images of BENENGR are very positive. They worked properly with promptly.
