Fire breaks out in N'ganj factory

A devastating fire broke out at Konka Electronics factory at Tiprodi Ratanadi area in Sonargaon of Narayanganj on Sunday.

Ten fire fighting units are working to douse the blaze that originated in the factory at 10:45am, Sonargaon Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer Sujan Kumar Hawlader confirmed.

As the fire news spread, local people gathered in the area, blocking Dhaka-Chattogram highway.

Workers of the factory said the fire broke out just after they started work as usual.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
