Minor girl’s body found in Pabna

Police have recovered the body of two-year-old girl from an under construction building at Chatmohar upazila in Pabna.

The deceased was identified as Khadija Khatun, daughter of Babul Hossain, a resident of Bahadurpur village in the upazila.

Locals said the girl went out from home with her cousin on Thursday afternoon to buy some food. She was missing till then.

Family members of the deceased then started searching for her and found Khadija’s body inside an under construction building at about 7.00pm.

Chatmohar Circle ASP Sajib Shahreen said injury mark was found in the deceased’s head. She might have been killed after hitting on head, said the official.

However, police have detained the deceased’s cousin in this connection.
