Allama Shafi murder case accused arrested

A Hezafat-e-Islam leader has been arrested from Fatikchhari of Chattogram in a case filed over violence in Hathazari.

Police said remand will be sought for further interrogation of Aminul.

Four people were killed in police firing at Hathazari during violent protest by Hefazat men in Hathazari against Indian prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dhaka on March 26.

Police filed 10 cases with Hathazari police station accusing 148 people including Hefazat ameer Junaid Babunagari.

Police have, so far, arrested  75 people in these cases.

Of them, six gave confessional statement.
