Bangabandhu and Swadhinata Book Fair begins in Kishoreganj

A four-day long 'Bangabandhu and Swadhinata Book Fair' began on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Gurudayal Government College ground in Kishoreganj on Thursday.

The district deputy commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam was present as the chief guest with additional deputy commissioner Md Nazmul Islam Sarker in the chair.

Superintendent of police Mashrukur Rahman Khaled, zila parishad chairman Md Zillur Rahman, Gurudayal College principal professor Md Jamalur Rahman, the district unit Awami League president advocate Kamrul Ahsan Shajahan and general secretary advocate M A Afzol, former freedom fighter commander Md Asad Ullah, Karimganj upazila assistant commissioner Umme Hafsa Nadia were present as special guests in the programme.

The book fair will remain open for all from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
