Teenage boy crushed under train in Joypurhat

A teenage boy was crushed under the wheels of a train at Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Tawsif Hasan, 19, son of Hasan Galib, a resident of Mataish Manzil Mohalla in Panchbibi municipal area.

Panchbibi Railway Station master Kamruzzaman said a Rajshahi-bound train ran him over in Fentara railway gate area in the early hours, leaving Tawsif dead on the spot.

On information GRP police went to the spot and recovered the body, he added.
