Child killed in C’nawabganj road accident

A child was killed after being hit by a CNG run auto rickshaw at Rahanpur municipality of Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was Nur Muhammad, 3, son of late Khokon Miah, a resident of Sobahan-nagar colony of the municipality.

Locals said a CNG run auto rickshaw hit the child from opposite side while he was crossing a road, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued him and took to Gomostapur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Gomostapur Police Station officer-in-charge Almas Ali Sarkar confirmed the matter.
