Widows get blankets in Joypurhat

Blankets were distributed as winter clothes among widows, elderly, helpless and disabled people at Sadar upazila in Joypurhat district on Saturday morning.

Superintendent of Police Md Noore Alam was the chief guest at the blanket distribution at Dhalahar union senior citizens center organized by the local non-governmental development organization JAKAS Foundation.

JAKAS Foundation director Rafiqul Islam Badsha presided over the blanket distribution programme where Dhalahar UP chairman Tozammel Haque, JAKAS Foundation deputy executive director Abul Bashar, Ramdeo Bazla Government High School teacher Raihan Kabir and journalist Shahadul Islam Saju spoke at the programme, among others.
