The body of Samia Rahman Sristy, daughter of late director Sohanur Rahman Sohan, has been
found dead at a residential hotel in
Dhaka.
Her body was recovered on Sunday evening (April 7) from a hotel adjacent to Cambrian School in Jatrabari area.
Jatrabari Police Station SI Sabbir Hossain said, "Receiving information from the hotel authorities, we rushed there and found the 34-year-old Sristy hanging from the window grill of room 201 of the 'Rongdhonu Hotel'.
She used to live with her husband Tanim at Uattara Sector No 3. But over family feud, she had left the home few days ago.
On Sunday noon, Samia Rahman boarded the hotel. When the authorities went to the room with ifter, they did not get any response from inside after several call. Then they informed the matter to police.
Later, a police team went to the scene and recovered the body after breaking open the door and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, SI Sabbir added.
Sristy’s father died in his sleep on September 13 last year, a day after her mother passed away.
