The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has rejected the nationwide curfew imposed for an indefinite period from Sunday evening.

Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the movement, told this in a Facebook post on Sunday evening.

He wrote on his Facebook wall, “None of their (government) orders remains effective after waging a one-point movement. So, we reject the government-announced curfew”.

Earlier in the day, the government announced a nationwide curfew for an indefinite period to be enforced from 6PM on Sunday amid countrywide violence centering the student movement.

Later, the government announced a three-day of general holidays from Monday to ensure public safety.

At least 90 people died in clashes between police, Awami League and agitators across the country on Sunday, on the first day of non-cooperation movement called by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement on Saturday with a one-point demand for the resignation of the government.
