The price of 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 1,517 per bhori as the price of pure gold has gone up in the local market.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has made the announcement in a press release on Tuesday.
Each bhori (11.664g) will now cost Tk 124,502, which is the highest in the country's market.
The new price will come into effect from Wednesday (Aug 21), BAJUS said in a media statement.
Earlier on August 18, the price of 22-carat gold increased by Tk 2,904 per bhori.
