Ex-chief whip ASM Feroz arrested

Former chief whip of the National Parliament and eight-time MP from Patuakhali-2 (Bauphal) constituency A.S.M. Feroz was arrested from the capital's Banani on Friday night.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of DMP's Media and Public Relations Division, Obaidur Rahman, confirmed the detention. 

However, no details were provided regarding the specific case or charges under which A.S.M. Feroz was apprehended.

Feroz, a prominent leader of Awami League (AL), was elected to the National Parliament eight times. He also served in the 9th National Parliament as the whip and was appointed the chief whip in 10th National Parliament.
