Two arrested with Phensydyl in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug dealer and his personal assistant with huge amount of Phensedyl from Abdullahpur area in the capital.

The arrested were identified as Bablu Pramanik, 42, hailed from Joypurhat District and Md. Shahid, 23,from the same district, Assistant Director of RAB-1 Md . Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed on Tuesday. 

He said acting on a tip of, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive around 3.45pm on Monday night on the Dhaka - Mymensingh Highway under Uttara (West) Police Station area in Abdullahpur and arrested the duo red-handed with 336 bottles of Phensedyl.

RAB also seized two mobile phone sets and a private car from their possession. A case was filed with Uttara (West) Police Station in this connection, added the RAB official.
