A Dhaka court on Tuesday stayed its three-day remand order for former Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, who was placed in the remand in the morning on charges of killing a student, Imran Hossain, at Jatrabari in the capital on August 5.
The stay order was issued after Sujan's lawyer presented High Court bail documents during the hearing, prompting Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahin Reza to halt the remand decision.
However, Sujan was subsequently shown arrested in a separate murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station.
Details about the second case could not be known immediately.
