South Africa team arrives in Dhaka

The Proteas, who last played a Test series in Bangladesh in 2015, touched down at around 8:40 AM. That series saw both matches end in draws, primarily due to rain. Aside from those two, South Africa has won all 14 of the other Tests they've played against Bangladesh.

The first Test is scheduled to begin on October 21 in Dhaka, with the second match to follow in Chattogram on October 29.

While regular captain Temba Bavuma is with the squad, he will miss the first Test due to injury, with Aiden Markram stepping in as captain for that match.

South Africa squad:
Temba Bavuma (captain), David Bedingham, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Lungi Ngidi, Dane Paterson, Dane Piedt, Kagiso Rabada, Tristan Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton, Kyle Verreynne.
