Motiur Rahman Sheikh appointed new CID chief

Md Motiur Rahman Sheikh has joined the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as its chief.

Earlier, he was working as the Additional Inspector General of Police.

Motiur Rahman Sheikh, formerly a deputy inspector general in the CID, was appointed as the CID chief following his promotion.

The Home Ministry issued a gazette notification to this regard on Wednesday.

After taking charge of the CID as its chief, Motiur joined an introduction meeting with its officers and employees and instructed them to work accordingly, said a press release of the CID.
