The Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) authorities on Monday claimed that three of their students were killed in the ongoing clashes with students of Kabi Nazrul Government College and Suhrawardy College.
A statement, signed by the Managing Director Ashraf Samir of DMRC, was issued to the media at 2:30PM, claiming the deaths of three students.
"Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College expresses profound sorrow and anger over the brutal attack on our institution today. Under the banner of so-called 'seven college' students, an external group of miscreants entered the campus and caused massive destruction. Three students were brutally killed in this attack, and over a hundred students and teachers were also injured. Some critically injured are under intensive medical care", reads the statement.
The statement, however, did not disclosed the names and identities of the deceased.
The statement read, The college authorities have asked local administration and higher authorities for help but they yet get any fruitful steps from them. In this situation, the security our teachers and students has been disrupted.
