ABM Mustafa Amin, the convener of 'Non-violent mass uprising movement Bangladesh', has been taken into police custody in Dhaka for organizing a crowd under the pretext of offering interest-free loans.

The arrest took place on Monday afternoon when he was detained by the Shahbagh police.

According to Jewel Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the RABNA Division, "We have taken Mustafa Amin along with several others into custody for questioning. Many students from the university have handed over individuals to us. We will verify the information and take necessary actions based on the investigations."

Initially, police have not discovered any other affiliations or personal background of Mustafa Amin, other than his involvement with the organization. The authorities are continuing their probe into the matter.
