United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador and head of the UAE Mission to Bangladesh Abdulla Ali Abdulla Khaseif AlHmoudi has assured that the country would launch visit visa for the Bangladeshis within February next year.
"The visit visas for the Bangladeshis remain suspended for a long time. The UAE government is likely to reissue the visit visas for the Bangladeshis, so that they can travel to the country easily," he said while addressing the reception programme of Bangladeshi journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansary, who was appointed Ambassador of the Bangladesh to UAE, organized by the Bangladesh Community at Millennium Downtown Hotel in Dubai.
Engr Moyazzem Hossain presided over the function while Bangladesh Consulate Head in Dubai Ashfaq Hossain, UAE BNP leaders Dr Reza Khan, Engr Mohammad Salauddin, Mohammad Yakub Sainik, Engr Abdus Salam Khan, Mohammad Raza Mallick, Shibly Sadiq, Mamunur Rashid and Sahed Ahmed Rasel also spoke.
In his speech, UAE Ambassador in Dhaka Abdulla Ali Abdulla Khaseif AlHmoudi urged the Bangladeshis expecting visit visa to have patience for a while.
Not only Bangladesh, the UAE visit remained suspended for many countries across the world. the number of Bangladeshis has now increased to 12 lakh, which was only 6 lakh to 7 lakh few years ago. It is the highest number than other countries, he informed.
Recalling the sacrifice of the protesters of July-August Uprising, Mushfiqul Fazal said that many of the Bangladeshis living abroad have protested during the uprising. "But, you must have to remember that the laws of the countries must have to be followed."
