Authorities have taken action against illegal brick kiln operations in separate districts, shutting down operations and imposing fines.

In Satkhira, M/s MM Bricks was fined and ordered to cease operations for running a kiln without the required environmental clearance. A mobile court, led by the Department of Environment with support from police and the 30th Ansar Battalion, carried out the enforcement action in Satkhira Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

In Feni, an eviction drive was conducted against an illegal brick kiln, M/s RLB Brick-2, located in the Tulatuli Bazar area of Daganbhuiyan upazila.

The Department of Environment emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure environmental protection and combat air pollution caused by unauthorized and non-compliant brick kilns. Further operations are planned to address similar violations in the future.
