Two individuals were killed and another injured in a road accident at Singra upazila in Natore district on Sunday.
The accident took place around 4:30 PM on Sunday at the Ningain Petrol Pump area on the Natore-Bogura Highway.
The deceased were identified as Rubel, 30, son of Ismail, and Nadim, 30, son of Manzur Rahman. Both were residents of Aftab Nagar Kherani Para in Gobindpur union of Dupchanchia upazila, Bogura. Another individual, Shamsuddin, was injured in the incident.
According to sources from Singra Police Station and locals, the three individuals were on their way to a duck farm in Halatibil area of Naldanga upazila when they collided with a military patrol vehicle at high speed near Ningain in Singra upazila. Rubel died on the spot and Nadim later succumbed to his injuries after being brought to Singra Upazila Health Complex.
Singra Police Station officer-in-charge Asmaul Haque confirmed the incident and stated that the families of the deceased have been notified. The bodies have been recovered and are currently under the custody of the police station.
