Police have recovered the body of 16-year-old teenager boy and detained three individuals, including the primary suspect in connection with the crime at Lohagara upazila in Narail district on Sunday.

Tamim Khan, son of Rubel Khan from Habkhali village in Narail Sadar upazila and a van driver by profession, had been missing since Friday.

Later,  his body was recovered on Sunday around 11:30 AM, confirmed Lohagara Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Ashikur Rahman.
According to Tamim's family and police, he was last seen taking Aminul on his van. When Tamim failed to return home, his family began a frantic search. A cousin later informed them he had seen Tamim with Aminul. Acting on this information, the family apprehended Aminul and reported the matter to the police.

During interrogation by police, Aminul confessed to drugging Tamim by mixing sedatives in his food, strangling him to death and burying the body in Mashaghuni area of the upazila. He also admitted to selling the stolen van in the same area.

Following Aminul's confession, police recovered Tamim's body from the burial site and transferred Aminul to Lohagara Police Station. Two other individuals were also detained for their involvement in the illegal trade of the stolen van.

Narail Sadar Police OC Sajedul Islam stated, "Aminul admitted to his crime and led us to the location where he had buried the body. His confession enabled us to recover the remains. Legal proceedings are underway."

OC Md. Ashikur Rahman added, "The body has been sent to Narail Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further actions will be taken as part of the investigation."
