Kotalipara press club welcomes newly appointed UNO

The newly appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj was warmly greeted by the leaders of the Kotalipara Upazila Press Club during a courtesy meeting held at the UNO's office on Sunday.

Sagufata Haque recently joined the role after being promoted for her vision and commendable service.  

During the meeting, the press club members highlighted key issues in the upazila and sought the UNO's cooperation in addressing them.  

Addressing the journalists, Sagufata Haque said, "I have just joined and wish to work with utmost dedication and integrity for the welfare of Kotalipara residents. Your support is crucial in achieving this goal. I hope you will provide accurate information, uphold the truth, and assist me in making Kotalipara a model upazila."  

She further stated, "Protecting government property and adhering to rules is my primary duty. I will work to ensure that the benefits of government development projects reach the people. Public officials and representatives must work with diligence and no unlawful activities will be tolerated. I aim to improve health, education, culture, and overall development in the upazila by working collaboratively with all stakeholders."  

The meeting concluded with Sagufata expressing her commitment to transparency and progress and encouraging the press to continue its vital role in highlighting both positive and challenging aspects of governance.  

Present at the event were FM Mahbub Sultan, president of the Kotalipara Press Club, senior vice president Fazar Ali Sikdar, vice presidents Kalam Talukdar and Kamruzzaman Rana, joint secretary Ankan Talukdar, women affairs secretary Nabila Khan and other press club members.
