Woman's beheaded body recovery: Police confirms identities

Police identified the youth girl, who found beheaded on the side of a road at Purbachal in Narayanganj's Rupganj upazila on Monday morning.

The victim, Rani, 29, was daughter of Mohammad Kashem from Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur.
The body was found in the morning at Gutiabo Government Primary School in Sector No. 5, according to Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (C Circle) Mehedi Islam.

A knife, believed to be the weapon used in the murder, was found at the scene. 

A sub-inspector from Rupganj police station reported that locals noticed the body in the morning and alerted the authorities. Police arrived at the location, recovered the body, and sent it to Victoria General Hospital in Narayanganj for an autopsy.

Efforts are underway to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, said Mehedi Islam.
