Two killed in Naogaon road accident

A road accident on the Naogaon-Mahadevapura regional highway in Mahadevpur upazila of Naogaon claimed the lives of two individuals on Tuesday morning.  

The victims were identified as Fardin Hossain, a resident of South Hosainpur village, and Rezuan Islam, from Shyampur village in the same upazila.  
According to Hashmat Ali, Officer-in-Charge of Mahadevpur Police Station, the accident occurred around 10 AM when Fardin and Rezuan were traveling on a motorcycle from Naogaon Sadar to Mahadevpur. The motorbike collided with a truck parked by the roadside, resulting in Fardin’s death on the spot.  

Rezuan was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.  

The OC confirmed that the bodies will be handed over to their families after completing the necessary legal formalities. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
