A local Juba Dal leader of Munshiganj's Sreenagar upazila unit has been expelled from the party following his alleged involvement in forcibly removing him from police custody in Munshiganj.
The expulsion of Tarikul Islam, joint convenor of the upazila Juba Dal unit, was confirmed in a press release signed by the party's Central Executive Committee assistant office secretary Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan on Saturday night.
