Lieutenant General Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Home and Agriculture Advisor, stated that no criminal would be spared, regardless of their political affiliation.
The advisor made the remark on Sunday at 3 PM during an agricultural equipment handover ceremony at Kusumpur Field at Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj.
He also emphasized the importance of upholding law and order, cautioning political leaders to ensure their actions align with legal and ethical standards. "We have many political leaders among us. You are free to pursue your political activities; we have no objections. However, if you violate the law, no one will be exempted. Criminals will face justice irrespective of their political identity," he remarked.
Addressing law enforcement officials, Lieutenant General Alam advised them to prioritize professionalism over favoritism. "If the offender is my own brother, do not spare him. Law enforcement must act with impartiality. Stop pandering and let time decide who holds power in the future," he urged.
The event, where 30 tractors and 30 shallow water pumps were distributed, was organized under the corporate social responsibility program of Dhaka Bank.
Notable attendees included Dr. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Additional Secretary (PPC) of the Ministry of Agriculture; Fatema-tuz-Zohra Jannat, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Munshiganj; Mohammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, Superintendent of Police; A.T.M. Hayatuzzaman Khan, Founding Vice-Chairman of Dhaka Bank PLC; Biplob Kumar Mohonto, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension; Shahina Akter, Upazila Executive Officer; and several other distinguished local leaders.
