Golam Rasul new SB chief

The Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday appointed Md Golam Rasul Additional Inspector General of Special Branch (SB) of Bangladesh Police.

He was promoted from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to Additional Inspector General of Police (acting) before posting him in the Special Branch.

The Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman on the orders of the President.

It said that Special Branch DIG Md Golam Rasul has been promoted to Additional IGP (on current duty) and posted to the same department.

Earlier, DIG Golam Rasul of Dhaka Police Staff College was posted to SB on December 18.
