Man killed in Jhenaidah road crash

A man was killed and another injured in a motorcycle accident in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Naeem Hossain, 35, son of Rafiqul Islam and a resident of Bhalaipur village in the upazila. The injured is the victim's cousin Salim from the same village.
According to locals, Naeem was traveling with Salim from Bhalaipur to Moheshpur when their motorcycle lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle near the Moheshpur Upazila Health Complex. The motorcycle struck a roadside tree.

Locals rushed both to the upazila health complex where the attending doctor Dr. Farzana Nazneen Shammi declared Naeem dead upon arrival and described Salim's condition as critical. He has since been transferred to Jashore General Hospital for advanced medical care.
