Motorcyclist killed in Kushtia road accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 12 PM at the Bagowan College Mor area on the Kushtia-Pragpur road.  

Sohan Rahman, 31, a resident of Mirzapur village in Juniadah union under Bheramara upazila, was son of Habibur Rahman. 

According to police and eyewitnesses, Sohan was traveling home to Mirzapur on his motorcycle from Meherpur. As he approached near Bagowan Girls College, a speeding truck hit his motorcycle from behind, causing him to die on the spot.  

Daulatpur Police Station officer-in-charge Nazmul Huda stated that police have recovered the body and seized the truck involved in the accident. 

However, no arrests have been made so far. Legal proceedings are underway regarding the incident.
