One killed in N’ganj road accident

An autorickshaw driver was killed and three others were injured in a road accident at Bandar upazila in Narayanganj district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Asad Mia, son of late Amir Hossain of old Bandar area in the upazila.

According to the witnesses, the Madanlpur-bound speeding from Madanganj rammed the autorickshaw carrying three passengers. The driver of the autorickshaw died on the spot while the passengers sustained severe injuries.
Locals rescued the injured and took to Bandar Upazila Health Complex where they were recieving treatment.

Enraged by the incident, locals blocked the Madanpur-Madanganj road. However, police rushed to the scene and cleared the traffic.

Bandar Police Station officer-in-charge Tarikul Islam confirmed the incident and said the bodies recovered and sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

�Investigation is ongoing to identify the truck and involved individuals to brought them under law,� added the OC.
