Fine imposed for illegal soil excavation in Noakhali

A mobile court has fined a man for illegal excavation in Noakhali�s Chatkhil on Wednesday.

The mobile court, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Akib Osman, carried out the operation in Sholya village of Mohammadpur union in th upazila. 

During the operation, authorities found evidence that an excavator was used to dig soil which damaged the layer of agricultural land and fined the accused Harun Ar Rashid Tk 50,000.

Akib Osman said that the fine was imposed under the Sand and Soil Management Act for the illegal excavation of agricultural land.

The operation was supported by a team of police from the nearby Chatkhil Police Station.
