Woman found dead in Dinajpur

Police recovered the body of an elderly woman from Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Achiya Begum, 65, a resident of Faridpur village under Parbatiupur upazila.

Locals said that Achiya had been working at different office in Parbatipur Railway Station for a long time. She could not return her home due to the dense fog. She went to sleep in front of the ticket counter of platform no-1.

Locals spotted her dead there in the morning and informed police.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body from the spot, said Parbatipur Railway Police Station sub-inspector Khaled Anwar.
