RU Shibir protest against Quran burning incident

The protest was organized in response to the alleged burning of copies of the Holy Quran at various residential halls on campus. The procession began at 6 PM from the RU Central Mosque, passed through the university's main roads and concluded at Joha Square.  

RU Shibir President Mostakur Rahman Jahid and General Secretary Mujahid Foisal addressed the crowd, condemning the incident and calling for justice.  

On January 12, burnt copies of the Quran were discovered in multiple halls, including Sayed Amir Ali Hall, Shahid Habibor Rahman Hall, Motihar Hall, Madar Bux Hall, and Shahid Ziaur Rahman Hall.  

Following the incident, the university administration formed a nine-member probe body led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Khan. The committee was tasked with submitting a preliminary report within three days and a final report within seven days. However, no significant progress has been reported beyond the deadline, leaving the matter unresolved.
