Man dies in Patuakhali trawler accident

A trawler driver was killed and two others were injured in a crash with a launch on the Tetulia River in Patuakhali�s Bauphal upazila early Thursday.
 
The deceased was identified as Sentu Dafader, 50, son of Awlad Padar of the upazila.

According to report, a two-storey passenger launch from Dhaka hit the trawler around 3 AM. The impact left the three fell in the middle of the river. However, two of them managed to swim ashore but Sentu drowned. 

Later, local fishermen rescued the body around 8 AM on Thursday.
 
Kalaiya Naval Station Inspector Al Mamun confirmed the incident and said that the launch could not be identified due to prevailing dense fog.

We are trying to identify the launch. We sought the body for autopsy but the victim�s family was reluctant to do this, added the inspector.
