Man found dead in Sunamganj paddy field

A man was found dead in a paddy field at Shantiganj upazila in Sunamganj district on Friday afternoon.

However, the identities of the deceased, aged around 55, could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that the owner of the land, Nur Hosain, 50, discovered the body in Terobjan haor at Muradpur village of the upazila and informed to local administration who further involved police. 

Shantigonj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Akram Ali confirmed that they have recovered the body and sent to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. 

Legal steps are underway to be taken, the OC added.
